Piiku’s 2-ply carded yarn is soft and warm, and easy to work with. It is 100% Finnsheep wool just like all our products. It’s ideal for knitting and crocheting, but it also felts well if you want to use it for decorating or structuring your felt work.
One skein of Piiku’s yarn weights about 100 g. It’s tex number is 320×2, so 150 g = 220 metres of yarn. Depending on the actual size and style, an adult-size knitted sweater takes about 600-800g of yarn. One skein is enough for a pair of mittens, for example.
